The AF Private Brands team is creating a portfolio of ambient food products and is looking for an experienced and analytical Quality Manager. This position will focus on establishing and measuring the quality standards of our upcoming launches and monitoring and maintaining the quality of existing Private Brand products, taking corrective action when needed. Working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders, this role will implement and manage Amazon's Quality program, ensuring the suppliers are working to correct policies from the outset. They will identify and mitigate risks to quality through the prototype stage to production manufacturing and scale up, through to the launch of the product. This role will also manage the business unit social responsibility audit accountability. This role requires expertise in consumer packaged goods manufacturing, a high bar for quality, strong customer obsession, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment. They will also possess a proven ability to influence and steer diverse cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start up environment, and the capacity to invent and simplify on different business oriented ways of operating.


Key job responsibilities
Owning product quality from a customer perspective from agreed concept to launch. Develop quality assurance programs, ensuring supplier awareness and compliance to Amazon policies.
Creating, maintaining and monitoring quality processes that allow manufacturers to meet our requirements.
Working with the Food Safety manager to ensure alignment between quality and food safety requirements
Developing feasible actions plan to address quality issues and response to customer feedback post launch
Traveling as needed to meet with suppliers and service providers
Collaborating with other members of the AF Private Brands team including Product Development and Vendor Management to lead a successful scale up process for new product lines.
Development of audit process and tools to ensure supplier compliance to internal (Amazon) and external (Regulatory) standards and requirements
Establish, manage and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers and customer feedback.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of experience in CPG manufacturing, operations, and product & supplier quality management systems
Experience in daily-use, high-repeat purchase product categories
Experience with HACCP, manufacturing methods, process and continuous improvement programs and procedures.
Experience creating, implementing and maintaining internal quality systems/document management systems, standards/SOPs for internal and external applications
Program management experience in new product introduction and successfully introduced new products to volume production

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience communicating and presenting to senior management
Proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with key internal and external partners that have resulted in high customer satisfaction Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data
Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization / time management and problem solving skills - Demonstrated ability to own projects, think big, act quickly, and influence across all levels of an organization
Curiosity to dig several layers deep into metrics, have an innate desire to understand key drivers and whether they are the correct or best metrics to measure / manage a business or process.
Diversified experience with entire product lifecycle and supply chain (R&D, scale-up, operations management, consumer feedback)
Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean manufacturing
