Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business and has significant impact across the lifecycle of a Trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We have a Client relationship group dedicated to overseeing the group service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first class experience when doing business with Citi.

Our Digitization and Implementation group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi’s innovation labs to drive optimization and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.

Our Technology groups develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. Role

The IT Quality Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role in the OTC Derivatives QA team. It requires financial domain knowledge of derivatives, OTC back-office functions and the trade lifecycle in addition to quality testing, agile practices and devops principles.

Skills

  • Excellent analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.

  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, and deliver production quality software within tight schedules

  • Must be results-oriented, self-motivated and can thrive in a fast-pace environment

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to understand business requirements and communicate impact of quality defects

  • Identify dependencies and risks and use these to define the overall strategy for testing franchise critical applications

  • Drive the functional testing and regression testing of the application through automated test execution and analysis

  • Partner with development teams to discover, analyze, write, retest and close defects as they arise

  • Participate in all agile ceremonies as a member of the scrum team

  • Participate in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production, making recommendations of solutions and improvements.

  • Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully / clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle

  • Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed. Verifies traceability in project work products.

  • Gathers, maintains and creates reports on quality metrics.

  • Requires in-depth understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality and has basic commercial awareness.

  • Acts as advisor and mentor for junior members of the team.

  • Has direct impact on the team and closely related teams by ensuring the quality of the tasks/services/information provided by self and others.

  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years experience in an IT Quality role.

  • Expertise in Functional QA

  • Hands on knowledge of UNIX, SQL, scripting

  • Experience working in Capital Markets. Derivatives knowledge would be a plus.

  • Demonstrated execution capabilities.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market driven environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
