Amazon’s Engineering Excellence (EE) team owns DevCon, an internal technical conference for Amazon SDEs around the globe. DevCon has an annual presence in APAC, EMEA and North America. We are looking for Sr. Program Manager to lead the programming strategy and execution of DevCon in North America. This role is an opportunity to join a global team that develops and curates learning content for engineers.
As a Sr. Program Manager, you will own the content and programming strategy for our annual EMEA/APAC event(s). You will collaborate with senior leaders company-wide to determine content themes and priorities for each conference. You will source content that meets customer needs, provide guidance on creating effective learning objectives and presentations, and ensure all content delivered meets our high quality bar. You will create and manage the schedule and methodology for content sourcing, development, and delivery.

· 5+ years of relevant work experience in program management
· Experience developing resource projections and with year-long planning cycles
· Experience with Excel and Pivot tables
· Demonstrated ability to learn from, and be open to, feedback
· Outstanding interpersonal communication and leadership skills; builds trusted relationships
· Strong written communications, with a proven ability to write in plain language
· Demonstrated ability to work with senior technical executives and facilitate discussions with peers/senior management
· A passion for innovation and simplicity
· Experience in software/services development or working with technical customers
· Background in the design and development of training programs and curriculum materials
· Experience reporting/measuring training results and learning impact
· Ability to work in cross-functional teams, communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles, and develop process that drives scale
· Detail orientated, yet able to identify what truly matters.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time while keeping all stakeholders informed on progress
· Ability to succeed amidst ambiguity, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
· Strong bias for action and a "get it done" attitude
