Amazon launched Amazon Business in Europe. It is a relatively new marketplace on Amazon that combines the selection, convenience and value customers have come to know and love from Amazon, with new features and unique benefits tailored to business buyers. Amazon Business provides easy access to hundreds of millions of products – everything from IT and lab equipment to education and food service supplies – as well as business-only selection and pricing. Amazon Business represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base and is an area of high interest for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enable business customers find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions.
A critical component on Amazon Business is Pay by Invoice which allows buyers to buy products on credit terms. We expect many thousands of buyers to use this feature and Amazon will need to credit assess these buyers and manage a growing portfolio of receivables. We aim to do this in a highly automated and scalable fashion while providing a great customer experience.

The Sr. Program Manager, B2B Payments Credit Operations will be responsible for driving operational controls/compliance, drive automation and operational efficiency, support strategic projects and facilitate internal business development.

We are looking for a well-rounded program manager with strong industry experience. However, we do not believe that finance or credit operations experience is essential for success in the role. In fact, given that this is a white space for Amazon we are keen to have someone who will look at this from fresh pair of eyes with few pre-conceived notions of how credit operations should be run. We want this person to be a thought leader who can help build best-in-class credit processes from scratch. We expect this person to use this role as a stepping stone to grow into general management positions in Amazon in the future.

The role is based in London.

Key objectives for role:


1.Operational control and compliance:
· Support the documentation, development and implementation of internal operational controls to mitigate risk for B2BP Operations
· Support and maintain QA program, procedure development and maintenance
· Identify potential issues and gaps in processes and drive mitigation strategies
· Support risk assessment and audit responses and ensure timely and accurate resolution of findings
· Facilitate engagement with Legal and Compliance teams for ACSUK
2. Operational efficiency and excellence:
· Driving harmonization of Credit Operations SOP in EU and aligning it with WW standards for all B2B Payment credit products
· Facilitate automation projects to improve operational efficiency
· Build mechanisms to identify and eliminate low value operational tasks
· Coordinating and building a training program to ensure easy ramp up of Credit Analysts
3. Support strategic projects for B2BP Operations including:
· Drive alignment with WW Operation teams (in partnership with WW Sr. Program Manager) on key deliverables relevant for the business
· Facilitate/Drive Credit Ops roadmap with our partner teams (e.g. Credit systems, Research) to ensure optimum prioritization of Credit Ops initiatives
· Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
· Predict roadblocks and obstacles, create meetings or integration points between teams and establish best practices
4. New Business development: Be the EU POC to build and maintain relationship with new and prospective tenants of our Credit services based in the EU
· Develop a full understanding of B2BP Operations business in order to represent the team to both internal B2BP partners and potential new clients across Amazon
· Use knowledge of B2BP to build and maintain relationships with new partners in B2BP Amazon organization
· Identify new use cases, document and execute on onboarding plans to bring on new partners and functions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
· Clear examples of demonstrated judgment and strategic insight
· Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
· Analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns; comfort with Excel
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· High attention to detail and desire to roll up sleeves and solve problems at root cause
· Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
· Growth potential to develop as a senior executive

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA from top tier institute
· Experience managing external stakeholders
· Experience managing complex operational processes
· Experience managing a team
· Experience in finance or banking
· Experience with SQL
