Sr. Product Owner (Remote, Plano or Chicago)

Description: We are looking for a passionate, pizza-loving Product Owner to lead Pizza Hut's digital content tools team. As a Product Owner at Pizza Hut, you are the ultimate owner of the user experience - partnering closely with design, engineering, data science teams, and business stakeholders to make it easier and more efficient to manage our digital content for our new website for thousands of Pizza Hut locations nationwide.

In this role, you'll investigate to identify pain points for our franchisees, operations, marketing, and technology partners. You'll conduct research, lead proof of concepts, and make data-driven decisions to build and enhance products that drive desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
- Assists in developing product strategy & roadmap by continuously analyzing user and product data and generating continuous feedback from users and business stakeholders
- Prioritizes and refines their product backlog in collaboration with the lead engineer and design teams to focus the work of a team of 5 to 10 engineers
- Runs their product portfolio as a business - owns and manages product performance by understanding business and user needs to determine and drive key objectives and results; provides regular reporting
- Makes decisions for their product portfolio & clearly communicates priorities, ensures buy-in, alignment and support from key stakeholders & cross-functional teams
Delivery & Execution
- Gathers requirements and leads an engineering team to deliver a minimum viable product and subsequent iterations that provides incremental value to the business
- Develops project plans & participates in release process - manages risks, communicates product needs, and surfaces issues to cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
- Participates in stand-ups, grooming/planning sessions, demos, and retrospectives. Fosters team collaboration, co-creation, and open communication
- Formulates hypotheses to A/B test, prototype, or research, continually refining the product until the desired outcomes are achieved
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years of Technology Product Management/Owner or related IT experience
- Thorough understanding of Agile ceremonies and why they are important
- Experience with Jira, Rally, or other sprint tracking system
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience reading and creating system diagrams and technical documents
- Ability to utilize data to drive decisions and track outcomes
