The Sr. Mobile App Developer will be required to design (technical design), develop, test, document, deploy, support and sustain the React native mobile apps (iOS and Android, React Native). Brand standards must be adhered to and enforced while maintaining compelling design, optimal performance, user experience and scalability. Clean and well documented code is required.

Job Functions

• Create, implement and support apps through the full software development life cycle

• Use SWIFT to develop specific mobile app features supporting business initiatives

• Design, develop and maintain React Native mobile app within the software development lifecycle

• Support UX design for individual mobile app features within the Apple Human Interface Guidelines

• Refine and enhance current mobile app code, functionality and UX.

• Articulate/Translate requirements into technical specifications.

• Work within the Agile/Scrum methodology

• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to determine business requirements for business partners

• Work with other IT teams to build mobile app supporting API endpoints

Education / Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years hands-on design and development work for native iPhone/iPad applications.

• 1 year experience in an ecommerce environment or at least 1 ecommerce app in the store

• Computer Science degree preferred, but not required

• Implemented at least 1-2 SWIFT apps end-to-end

• Demonstrable portfolio of iPhone/iPad/Android apps.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware).

• Experience architecting and working in Node.js applications.

• Experience with Redux state management library.

• Development of mobile web applications including AMP or PWA.

• Experience publishing native mobile apps in the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Methodologies.

• Scoping and estimating mobile application development projects.

• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting mobile application development.

• Previous consulting or client service delivery experience.

• Ability to set up and admin development, test, SCM and deployment stack is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong React Native application development experience

• Strong mobile UX design, coding and support/maintenance, collaboration and communication skills.

• Strong understanding of programming principles and architecture (MVC/OOP/Functional Programming).

• Understanding of basic Android and Java concepts including Android Studio.

• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in an IT setting.

• Demonstrates personal drive and initiative
