JOB SUMMARY

This detail-oriented leader is responsible for managing web development teams and the corresponding digital platforms with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). These teams are building and maintaining high-traffic websites in our News, Sports, and Communications group. This leader will ensure that the teams consistently produce quality, reduce complexity, and deliver faster time-to-market through collaboration. Develop a high performing organization by creating and fostering an iterative and continuously-improving environment. Ensure a high degree of cross functional communication and participation in line with product planning, deployment, and support. Maintains a deep knowledge of platforms they are responsible for, including: components, custom integrations, architecture, and troubleshooting practices. Maintains a strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals. Solves problems for the teams by taking initiative an being resourcefutl. Comes to the table with a broad knowledge base around web-based and digital products.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Manage an innovative, collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to produce exceptional digital products that enhance the customer experience.

Identify and establish performance targets for management of team.

Set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion.

Support the creation of technical roadmaps.

Partner with the leadership team in driving a high-performance culture.

Support team members to help them gain confidence and experience with communication, leadership and collaboration skills, and enable growth and advancement in their careers.

Align team to departmental defaults such as instrumentation, universal design, brand and experience consistency as well as advocate for deviations from defaults where beneficial to the team.

Build, maintain, and iteratively improve the cross-functional and lean team with a diverse set of roles that is designed to efficiently deliver outcomes.

Develop processes for cross-functional skills development within team.

Uphold team operating rhythm to enable data-driven iterative improvement. Ensure that the team is changing and iterating as a cohesive, inclusive unit

Provide direction for development of new products, technologies, and initiatives.

Review selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide recommendations as necessary.

Facilitate capital budget process and manage approved budget plan.

Participate in succession planning.

Responsible for the quality and performance of all software solutions created.

Develop an organization that supports outcome delivery, resolving technical debt, responding to production issues, improving quality, and investing in speed and team autonomy.

Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience

Related Work Experience Number Of Years

Technical Platform Ownership Experience 6+

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Experience up to v6.5 3-5

Experience Leading Complex Projects 3-5

Team (Direct Staff) Leadership 3-5

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills /Abilities and Knowledge

Related industry experience- Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services, cloud infrastructure such as AWS, varied Content Management Sytems (CMS) experience , Project/Program Management, Agile Delivery Processes, experience working with DevOps, analytics and support systems such as Adobe Analytics, Target, and Splunk

The pay for this position has a minimum of $107,600.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
