EU ATS is a high-powered dynamic team which is shaping the middle-mile trans planning and execution, and developing and applying innovative transportation management concepts to improve and enhance the Amazon Transportation network to ultimately drive the best customer experience in a reliable and cost-efficient manner, every time. EU TOM is looking for a Sr. Manager with strong delivery record and leadership experience to own and execute strategic and cross-functional yard operations and program management.
About the role
TOM team focuses on managing the yard activities in the Fulfillment centers and Sort centers across EU. This team is the interface between Amazon sites and the Supply Chain/Trans organizations. You will be leading a team of managers and analyst to develop and manage the new program initiatives and improvement projects for yard and linehaul performance for the EU network. To be successful in this role, you need strong business acumen, operations expertise and analytical skills allowing the data to lead us to a better understanding of how we can improve the yard safety processes. Also key is the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and effectively communicate to various levels of management internal and external to Amazon.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of Program Managers for managing yard and line haul projects and operations activities across the EU network
* Develop and implement safety, process and cost improvement initiatives for the network
* Work together with Managers to develop a data-driven decision-making culture within the team
* Coordinate with the product and tech teams from NA and EU to develop the new products and tools
* Create project scoping and write business proposals to share the project planning and execution strategy with Sr. leaders and VPs
* Own all reporting for the program, participating in regular business reviews with executives and stakeholders
* Collaborate with VPs and Regional Directors for implementing the new initiatives and tools
* Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with differing priorities
*Flexible working varied hours per business demands
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience
• Direct management experience for employees and their performance
• Prior experience with operations, performance metrics and process improvement and lean techniques
• Fluent in English
• Degree in Engineering, Transportation, Operations or related field is a plus
• Proficient management experience in a operations, manufacturing, production or distribution environment
• Lean process, Kaizen, Six Sigma, process improvement experience
