Our location in Abbott Park, IL, currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Strategic Initiatives.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Strategy development: supporting the strategy development process and acting as key thought-leader with country GMs, product management as they develop their strategies and innovation roadmaps. 

  • Helping design and execute key strategic initiatives to drive business growth

  • Strategy execution: supporting tracking of business performance and initiatives against strategic objectives, by providing project management support.

  • Market insights: interfacing with primary market research function & leveraging secondary market research to analyze customer & market trends, to identify potential opportunities.

  • Business analytics: analyzing internal data (sales, web metrics & other KPIs) to identify trends & opportunities, and to inform strategic direction.

  • Executive communication: preparing communication materials to be presented to senior leaders of the organization to influence right decisions for the business

  • Analysis of new market opportunities or new product introductions (high level, before it gets into R&D, by looking at white-space analysis, analogous industry cases, etc)

  • Competitive intelligence: game theory, leveraging public sources & secondary research to gather and analyze competitive intelligence, to inform business decision-making/ competitive reaction.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

REQUIRED

  • 2-3 years consulting experience with top management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain preferred), Strategy/ Financial Planning  function from global FMCG or Pharmaceutical

  • Analytical degree (finance, economics, engineering, business school) preferred from top university

  • Experience and Passion for Consumer Goods, Retail and/or Health Nutrition preferred

  • Distinctive problem solving skills (conceptual, analytical, quantitative)

  • Strong work ethics, ambition and hunger to learn

  • Passion for Digital and growth orientation

  • Strong communication skills

  • Other nice to haves: Mandarin, Statistical modelling skills
