The vision of the Walt Disney World Marketing Strategy organization is to be the most innovative marketers of immersive entertainment, inspiring people worldwide to make their Disney dreams come true. The team is responsible for driving consumer demand and helping achieve business objectives (revenue, attendance, occupancy) for the Walt Disney World Resort, which consists of 4 Theme Parks, 2 Water Parks, 30 Resort Hotels, and Disney Springs, a retail, dining, and entertainment complex. The team achieves these goals by developing business and communication strategies and partnering with cross-discipline teams to create campaigns that drive consumer behavior. The team also oversees the management of plans to ensure each campaign or program is maximized across a range of marketing tactics.

As the Sr. Manager you will lead a high performing team responsible for the development of consumer insight-driven marketing strategies to achieve short-term business commitments and create long-term growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct domestic marketing strategy team in the development and execution of audience go-to-market strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, intent, renewal and maximization
  • Collaborate with partners to inform and build thoughtful 4P’s approach that persistently drives growth
  • Maintain a deep subject matter expertise of the consumer to help inform and shape key marketing/commercial strategies to drive Domestic goals.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer journey and ability to apply to audience planning work
  • Partner closely with other audience teams to ensure alignment and drive efficiency
  • Manage complex projects to identify opportunities, find new approaches and champion innovation
  • Analyze performance, needs, risk and opportunities and address accordingly
  • Proven leadership capabilities within a matrix organization, especially the ability to lead virtual teams (i.e., provide direction to employees in other departments)
  • Develop Cast by understanding areas of interests and assisting with growth and advancement
  • Monitor industry and consumer trends
  • Lead and direct cross-functional, highly collaborative forums to ensure all perspectives are gathered for maximum integration

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience; 5 years with direct leadership experience
  • Demonstrated technical marketing skills to inspire and lead strategic input and drive innovative communication planning
  • Critical thinking and the ability to succinctly convey a verbal or written story that influences leaders, partners, and peers
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data analyses and draw marketing implications from research and consumer insight
  • Ability to project manage tactics, initiatives, and programs in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing strong and productive partnerships, as well as cross-functional team leadership, in a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Expertise, fluency and knowledge of diverse audiences
  • Passionate steward of inclusivity and diversity through all phases of work
  • Open to collaboration, cooperation, feedback and innovation in the spirit of continual improvement
  • Demonstrated goal orientation and agile response to evolving business needs
  • Highly adaptive, nimble and comfortable with change
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with a unique ability to create a compelling narrative for delivery to varying levels of leadership including Executive ensuring buy-in and alignment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with active listening skills and unparalleled professionalism
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing, and search engine optimization tactics
  • Computer software proficiency (e.g. Power Point, Excel, Word, Zoom)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with National level campaigns and brand development
  • Knowledge of product development and new product launches
  • Previous work experience in Brand or Consumer Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Digital Marketing, Consumer Packaged Goods Marketing, or Advertising Account Management

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • Masters of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree
