Job Description

DF’s supply chain is becoming increasingly borderless, with increasing scale and complexity. The head of the Expansion, Growth and Innovation focuses on (i) Program Management of expansion into other EU countries; (ii) driving key high value strategic projects that will drive exponential growth of the EU DF business.

You will hire and lead a team of Program Managers who will be responsible for setting up DF operations and general management in all new DF marketplaces, managing the ambiguity between what needs to be done “in-country” vs. what should be managed by the current EU operations teams. You will be responsible for driving the topline growth of new countries, developing ambitious ramp-up plans and coordinating with EU and in-country Retail teams to deliver the growth. Additionally, you will develop high value strategic EU-wide initiatives, design and implement pilots, and create clear Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to be included into the management cycles. (3) Embrace inconsistency by maintaining multiple and often conflicting strategic agendas. You need to be able to “Think Big”, seeing beyond barriers (including limitations of technology) and challenges to reset the bar. Driving a direction that is bold but rational, defensible and achievable (stretch goals). We operate as a start-up, therefore you will need to use sound business judgement to make the right decisions quickly and achieve results even in the absence of complete data. Furthermore, with multiple dependencies across partner teams, you will need to be skilled at stakeholder management across multiple VP-organisations.
