We're looking for a highly motivated and passionate Sr Business HR to partner with Hill's Business Leaders  on strategic and local business and human resource (HR) priorities including talent management, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness (performance, organization design & capabilities and change management). Keep a finger on the pulse of the organization and external market and human resource trends. 

What you will do

•    Principal Duties & Responsibilities 

o    Partner with Division functional leads to drive learning, capability building, succession planning and performance

o    Partner with HR Leads in the regions, the COHREs (Community of HR Experts) and CBS  (Shared Services Center Organization) teams to influence and execute HR strategy, policies and programs

o    Identify and implement forward-thinking solutions that promote our F.E.E.D. (Focused, Empowered, Experimental, Digital) culture and drive continued growth opportunities aligned with the HR strategy

o    Partner with Corporate Communications in Division communication and engagement 

o    Be the voice of the employee experience while coaching leaders on enhancing their effectiveness 

o    Manage team of HR Business Partners, Communication Specialist and facilities team members 

•    HR Partnering

o    Understand local market and external factors to develop insights and to inform Business HR, CoHREs and business decisions

o    Align the Business Unit/Global Function with enterprise HR principles, policies and standards

o    Provide leadership and guidance to business leaders related to the implementation and management of the HR strategy in the respective Business Unit/Global Function

o    Provide insights to the CoHREs for the design, execution and continuous improvement of HR programs to ensure relevance to current and future business needs

o    Anticipate and plan for human capital implications i.e. workforce planning, talent acquisition and development, and performance-based activities in order to achieve business goals;

o    Coach leaders through personal credibility and competence to enhance their effectiveness and results orientation, with a focus on career development and promoting a positive work environment;

•    Talent Management

o    Advise and coach business leaders on topics impacting leadership effectiveness and business results

o    Co-own all talent management programs together with business leaders

o    Partner with the CoHREs to advise on the design and execution of HR programs to ensure relevance to current and future business needs

o    Support leadership development by identifying current and projected leadership and functional capability gaps working together with Business Leaders on solutions aligned with the HR Strategy and CoHREs

o    Collaborate with the People Development CoHRE and Global Functions and Business Units on leadership succession plans

o    Advise and coach Business Leaders on interpretation of HR policies, consulting with CoHREs as needed

o    Deploy and execute CoHRE-developed strategies (including, e.g., rewards & recognition, employer brand, development and learning staffing)

o    Lead employee engagement initiatives to improve motivation, commitment and productivity;

•    Organization Effectiveness (Organization Performance, Design, Capabilities and Change Management)

o    Spearhead and influence new ways of working in collaboration with the business to drive organizational success;

o    Develop impactful solutions for people and organizational challenges to maximize performance and anticipate business needs;

o    Collaborate with business leaders on organization design and identify gaps and opportunities

o    Facilitate and support change management tailored to specific Business Unit and Global Function needs

o    Collaborate with Business Leaders and Managers on employee engagement initiatives

•    Positive Employee Relations

o    Serve as an employee advocate by establishing workforce relationships

o    Coach and support leaders’ capabilities to create and maintain a positive employee relations work environment

o    Establish proactive and responsive channels of communication to understand the pulse of the organization

o    Advise and coach business leaders and managers on the resolution of employee inquiries and issues, consulting with Legal as needed

o    Champion the company’s Ethical Leadership standards, behaviors and compliance

o    Monitor HR compliance on-site, including 3rd party contractors

•    Performs other duties as assigned

•    Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline 

•    At least 8 years of progressive HR experience 

•    Experience in providing HR strategic advice to HR partners and senior business leaders 

•    Experience in development and implementation of HR initiatives 

•    Experience in coaching and guiding members of the HR and the business colleagues 

•    Experience in one or more HR Specialty Area (Compensation, Benefits, People Relations, People Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Analytics, Organization Development/Design) 

•    Leadership

•    Networking and Influence 

•    Business Acumen 

Preferred Qualifications

•    Master's Degree in a relevant field
