The Commercial Senior Finance Analyst provides financial process leadership to the Global Commercial Buying Team.  The primary purpose of the role is to partner with Global & Regional Commercial Teams, Global Treasury and Cross-functional Value leadership Community to achieve operational excellence and create value for Mars Inc.  MW Global Commercial oversees the $4.5 Billion of annual Prime spend.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 4+ years of experience in areas of accounting or finance related fields
• Understanding of basic financial processes and controls
• Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to resolution and implement change.
• Must have a high degree of self-direction, anticipating the close and planning cycle

• Detail oriented but able to see the bigger picture

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Leads Global Commodity 3-years Value Creation Plan (iVCP), 1-year Annual Sourcing Plan (ASP), and Periodic Forecasting.  This requires partnership with broad group of stakeholders to solidify key assumptions and create action plan to ensure delivery including MW Global Commodity Directors (GCDs) Value Leadership community, Global/Regional Category Sourcing teams, Regional Finance teams, and Global Treasury etc.
• Key S&F partner for Global Prime Risk and Opps - assess Categories performance and outlook in partnership with Sourcing teams, CART and Global Treasury.  Provide holistic view, recommendations and any escalations to Global Commercial Sourcing VP and Finance Director.
• Partner with Regional Commercial S&F managers throughout period close process to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Ensure strong financial controls are embedded across Global/Regional Commercial operations.  Including the coordination of the annual standard setting.
• Manage Global Mint Oil financing program with Suppliers, Banks, Global Sourcing Director, Legal and Treasury.  Aligning periodic balances are reflected correctly in SAP and balanced monthly with banks.
• Drive digital agenda and improvement of forecasting through analytical tools.
• Support ad-hoc requests and analysis.
