Position Overview:
Bechtel is one of the top Engineering, Procurement and Construction companies in the world. Our Nuclear, Security & Environmental (NS&E) Global Business Unit executes large, first-of-a-kind projects in government site management, environmental restoration, defense, space, energy, and national and homeland security.
As part of NS&E’s Proposal team, you will be working in a diverse group providing deliverables & generating input to proposals for Firm Fixed Price/Lump Sum/Cost Reimbursable type projects associated with marine/heavy industrial facilities, renovation or repair of large waterfront facilities, Department of Energy and Department of Defense high hazard/nuclear facilities, nuclear power plants, and general government infrastructure. This multi-functional team will include personnel from Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Startup.
Responsibilities:
Review and interpretation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
Interpretation of requirements documentation
Authoring proposal packages related to Control System's scope in the RFP
Coordination of proposal language with other Engineering disciplines, functional departments and proposal management team
Responding to customer inquiries on submitted proposals
Presentation of proposal to customer
Generation of Scope of Work (SOW) documentation
Presentation and handover of successful bid to project team
Sr. Control Systems candidate must have significant knowledge and experience with Control Systems design, not limited to the following:
Design and review of Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
Design and review of system logic diagrams
Design and review of Control System physical layout
Translation of project scoping documents to system design
Origination and review of system design criteria
Design and review of control system network architecture
Industrial control systems (DCS and/or PLC) design (hardware and software)
Ability to quantify control system commodities
Ability to interpret existing facility control system documentation
Some travel to customer facilities may be required.
Qualificaitons and Skills:
Basic Qualifications:
Level One:
BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field, from an accredited university, with six (6) years of related experience, or, MS degree in Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field, with four (4) years of related experience OR in lieu of twelve (12) years engineering experience related to the position
United States Citizenship required
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiar with Control Systems industry standards
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, etc.)
Level Two:
BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field, from an accredited university, with nine (9) years of related experience, or, MS degree in Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field, with seven (7) years of related experience OR in lieu of fifteen (15) years engineering experience related to position.
United States Citizenship required

Familiar with Control Systems industry codes and standards
Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft 365 application suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, etc.)
Level One and Level Two Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of Codes and Standards pertinent to Control Systems engineering
Current Professional Engineer’s (PE) License
DOD, DOE or nuclear facility work experience
Brownfield work experience
Some lead or supervisory experience
