Amazon OpsTech IT Deployment Planning team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager for our Deployment Planning function.

OpsTech IT Deployment Planning function is responsible for planning all IT infrastructure programs focusing on technology migrations, new solution deployment, change in existing infrastructure solution, new product introduction and customer initiated programs.

As a Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, this global leadership role is responsible for complete planning, scoping, creating whitepapers for capital funding approval, setup gated reviews, engage with stakeholders for validation/approval, estimate field efforts, secure funding, initiate procurement and ensure delivery of equipment at site for deployment execution for both lifecycle and customer programs. This leader will own grooming program pipeline developing roadmap working with infrastructure engineering, OEM, supply chain, service delivery, field IT and customers. This role is expected to work with partners and determine the need for product certification, changes in new deployment and changes to bill of material.

As a leader you are expected to do the prioritization based on business impact analysis score, and risk costs (of not doing infrastructure program), entitlement and alignment with operations/leadership goal.

This team owns:

• triage between infra engineering, supply chain, service delivery, InfoSec and IT planning to address the existing gaps by including all details in the whitepaper before we approach business finance for funding approval.
• review of mechanisms to have accurate scoping, validation, ensure engineering readiness, deployment readiness, supply chain readiness for equipment delivery and field team readiness with necessary resource forecasting.
• prioritization of programs based on InfoSec mandate, business continuity, and criticality of the infrastructure, solutions and products in field that are not supported by either supplier or engineering.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• IT Infrastructure Knowledge
• IT Program Management Experience
• Worked on large, complex IT technology migration programs
• Ability to work on entitlements for business justifications
• Ability to write documentation around scope, effort estimation, funding ask, justification, broad level timelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree
• 8 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects from initiation to closure
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to successfully manage cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and varying levels of management
• Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Telecommunications, Systems Administration, Low voltage data cabling, or data facilities technologies
• Experience with procurement of IT equipment
• Experience as a leader and mentor for project teams in a matrix environment
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or other warehouse environments
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint
• PMP Certification
• Experience managing conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise and influencing others and problem solving.
