The Sr. Solution Architect is a critical role within the IS organization and responsible for the discovery, design and implementation of innovative technology solutions that deliver valuable capabilities and support the company’s engineering & manufacturing global strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

•Deconstruct key business problems to identify value areas

•Own roadmap for solutions/products/tools to enable scale and operational efficiency through process streamlining, automation and integration

•Perform risk analysis, industry and technical trend analysis, vendor selection, end to end solution design, integration and deployment for IT solutions to meet Meritor’s technical, compliance, and security requirements

•Collaborate with technology enablement teams in developing best practices and standards related to security, network, data, hosting and infrastructure services

•Develop reference architectures and design patterns for digital applications

•Participate in architecture review and approval process

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar

•Minimum 10+ years of IT work experience designing and implementing end-to-end information and technology solutions

•Potential travel to other Meritor sites, as needed

•A strong background leading broad and complex technical work with proven success in the design & delivery of scalable IT solutions in compliance with applicable requirements

•Exposure to multiple, diverse technical integrations, technologies, and processing environments, including public and private cloud architectures and SaaS technologies

•Experience architecting & delivering solutions across multiple enterprise architecture domains (technology, application, information, and infrastructure)

•Experience with implementing operations technology and enterprise integration architectures in engineering & manufacturing

•Strong understanding of product management & development processes and/or advanced manufacturing technology, including digital and big data (e.g. Smart Factory, IoT, Industry 4.0, AI/ML)

•Experience with application architecture roadmaps along with defining contextual, conceptual, and logical models that align both business and technical capabilities to explain the architecture

•Be a well-rounded technical leader with a passion for innovation and the ability to define and communicate the “big picture” (both functional and technical)
