The WW Operations Benchmarking Program launched in 2014 and has expanded across businesses and regions to support the continued growth of the Amazon Operations footprint. The World-Wide Operations Amazon Customer Excellence System team is now looking for passionate and talented Sr. Program Manager to support the EU Sort Centre network.
As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be the main driver of the EU Benchmarking Program for the EU Sort Centre network, collaborating with regional Amazon Customer Excellence System organizations in India, Japan and NA. Through your work, you will have a global impact in WW Sort Centre Operations, helping leaders at all levels improve by defining performance targets and maintaining the mechanisms that will make such performance possible. You will also work to provide operations with data insights based off of deep analytics and regression modelling.
· You will be able to capitalize of your deep knowledge of EU Sort Centre Operations to enable the vision to have all sites perform at Best-At-Amazon levels by arming leaders with powerful tools and processes.
· Your main responsibilities will revolve around the creation and maintenance of content in three categories: Business Insights, Standards, Training and Audit.
· Business Insights: Utilizing the WWBI tools, identify and drive cost savings opportunities for EU Sort Centre Operations stakeholders based on Best At Amazon best practices
· Standards: You will ensure every region has relevant and impactful Standards that define best in class processes to be followed by leaders.
· Training: You will ensure EU Sort Centre Operations leaders are aware of these Standards and have a solid understanding that allows for proper implementation at their sites.
· Audit: You will ensure leaders are able to accurately and objectively evaluate compliance, helping them identify process gaps that need to be closed to enable better performance.
· Finally, you will collaborate with Operations Leaders, subject matter experts and other Amazon Customer Excellence System members to ensure all three elements have closed-loop mechanisms in place to guarantee their effectiveness in a constantly-evolving business.
· Your main stakeholders will be the Regional Directors and VPs of Operations of each region, with whom you will periodically engage to communicate progress in the initial implementation of the program and its sustained health over time. This will ensure the initiative is effectively driving results for the organization.
. You will have the ability to travel aprox 10% of the time
· Technical (Math, Engineering, Science or similar) Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
· 6+ years of successful experience leading programs within Operations teams
· Facilitation experience at all levels and must be comfortable addressing large audiences
· Project Management experience and verified ability to deliver in a deadline-driven environment
· Basic/Intermediate experience with SQL, Redshift, or another scripting language
· Ability to interpret and apply statistical insights to the operations environment
· MBA or Masters in Industrial Engineering
· Demonstrated knowledge of key business metrics specific to the North America IXD network
· Demonstrated proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across all levels of an organization
· Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
· Experience in Content Management, Editing, or Technical Writing
· Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations
· Decisive, confident, and experienced at influencing others
· Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
· Project Management Professional certification
· Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
