The Senior Manager of Salesforce Delivery and Platform Management leads and directs the platform implementation and integration of new functionality on Cox Salesforce platform (CCRM). This includes working with technology team to determine strategies; planning and executing software implementation strategies. Additionally, this position works closely with Cox internal and external partners to define delivery requirements, develop project plans for implementation, and coordinate deliverables across technology and business teams.
Responsible for providing ongoing management and relationship management for third-party vendors and internal delivery teams. This role typically oversees the performance of other managers and specialists. In addition, this role must maintain extensive business knowledge with comprehensive understanding of the organization and functional areas supported by this role.
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience release management, operations management, developing and leading large and complex IT implementation programs; a people leader who is technically sound, with the proven ability to lead a highly technical team. The right candidate will have experience in leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing others.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Provides management, leadership and oversight to team consisting of local FTEs and offshore 3PL vendor specialists and managers to implement SFDC platform and integration with other existing Cox platforms.
Coaches and develops assigned resources to maximize strengths and develop strong, collaborative partnerships within the Technology organization and across business functions. Advises and coaches team members on priorities, best practices, problem solving, technical direction, and standard methods.
Drives implementation of agreed upon strategy, seeking to achieve the effective implementation and use of best practices.
Partner with Business & Technology teams to define requirements, dependencies, deliverables, and timelines in support of new and existing functionalities.
Vendor Management: Define and manage vendor KPIs and other control metrics through reporting, initiating process improvement measures when processes operate outside of limits.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders.
Proactively identify potential issues and risks developing mitigation strategies early in the project. Consequently, identify and address unforeseen issues in a timely manner escalating to leadership with the appropriate level of documentation as required.
Qualifications
Minimum
7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e., Software delivery, Vendor Management, Product and Project Management, etc.)
5 or more years of experience if candidate possesses an advanced degree
Software Engineering or Software architectural background
Experience in delivering in an Agile methodology, preferable Safe Agile
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
Strong analytic skills; Software Architectural background
Strong budgetary skills; experience with controlling multi-million project budgets
Ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables, and milestones
Executive Presence: Be a clear and consistent communicator with the team and leadership
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Salesforce knowledge and experience, (Sales & Marketing clouds, Field Services, Service cloud)
BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (Engineering, Technology, Business, etc.)
Preferred
MBA preferred
5 or more years of experience in a management and leadership role of 3PL and FTE resources, preferred
Salesforce knowledge and experience, (Sales & Marketing clouds, Field Services, Service cloud)
SFDC certifications a plus
Software Engineering or Software architectural background
Experience in implementing, releasing, and maintaining Salesforce Vlocity
Experience with Copado DevOps
Experience in all phases of the SDLC
Experience in Vendor management
Experience working in a multi-vendor delivery matrix team
Experience in telecommunications industry desired
Technical Operations or Release Management experience; managing a complex integrated environment
