Job Title: Sr. Manager, Technology SUMMARY
This role will be central to working with sales leadership on the business team and other platform owners in the Business Support Systems group to prioritize, plan and deliver software capabilities within the residential sales agent desktop (ICE), the residential catalog that supports ICE (PLM), and the order management solution in Salesforce that supports Cox Mobile. This position is responsible for ensuring that the technical implementation of new capabilities in the agent desktop are in alignment with the overall digital transformation strategy for the Business Support Systems group and supports other applications as appropriate. This position will be responsible for managing a team of developers, providing technical guidance on solutions, driving delivery standards and enabling continuous improvement in operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in driving the design, development, delivery and operationalization of software applications that support agent users and business processes. Strong interpersonal skills that allow for developing exceptional relationships with various business, technical and operational departments is essential. Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Configure Price Quote, Product Catalog and Order Management capabilities is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides technical leadership and execution of technology solutions, ensuring support of the company's business objectives
Oversees three agile delivery teams and one operations team and manages regular (monthly) deliveries to users
Works directly with Marketing and Sales to understand business strategy and priorities and ensures alignment of delivery plans
Focuses on continuous improvement and drives the team to increase platform reliability as well as the speed and flexibility of the tools to enable a faster time to market for new products and capabilities
Works directly with project stakeholders and other technology platform owners to ensure that external project requests are managed through the intake and delivery process and that the requirements and objectives of those projects are delivered on time and within budget
Takes a business process/business value approach to identify, propose, and influence end-to-end technical solutions beyond the boundaries of the applications they own to solve business problems
Acts as a hands-on participant in the Agile development process to ensure business requirements and architectural designs are effectively translated into delivered software capabilities
Manages, guides, and grows a team of developers & architects, deploying their talents to solve business problems while creating an environment that progresses their careers and is exciting to be a part of.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIIONS MINIUMUM
7+ years of experience required in a related field (software development, web technology, commercially deployed software services).
BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly preferred (computer science, engineering or related field).
Experience managing a customer facing software development team including a strong understanding of Agile software development in a CI / CD environment.
Excellent soft skills required such as: interpersonal, leadership, communication, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Experience managing relationships between business, development and relevant technology departments.
Strong focus on software architecture best practices with demonstrated experience leading the design and development ocapabilities that span multiple applications and teams.
Ability to frame or translate complex technical concepts across various audiences.
2+ years of experience leading & managing a development team.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Preferred
Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
Experience with cloud-based development and infrastructure practices.
