The Senior Manager will manage large-scale, programs for Operational Excellence within the EV Battery Solutions/Spiers New Technology organization.  The manager ‘s primary responsibility will be enterprise wide medium- and long-term operational planning for Spiers New Technology.  This person will build and maintain models for operational throughput, utilization capacity, and operational flow, including variables such as available space, equipment, and labor.  They will lead capacity planning activities to ensure the delivery against operational objectives and build forecasts to meet future customer demand.  They will also identify improvement initiatives to optimize capacity and benchmark activities to drive best practices. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Plan all operational requirements needed to satisfy customer demand •    Assist operational leadership in identifying the required floor space, labor, and material

•    Build and maintain models to identify throughput, utilization, and operational flow

•    Lead capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational objectives

•    Assess existing requirements and develop operational plans and forecasts based on future customer demand

•    Monitor actual results vs targets and analyze trends to identify issues

•    Identify improvement initiatives to optimize capacity and benchmark activities to drive best practice results

•    Resolve issues of complex and diverse scope 

•    Engage Program team to develop solutions to important, highly complex problems, where cross department considerations are often present

•    Analyze risks, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action.

•    Provide tracking and reporting on progress to plan, cost, and schedule reporting, and change control.

•    Manage relationships with project stakeholders, as well as external business stakeholders.

•    Proactively Manage stakeholder demands

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in related field and 7+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Strong negotiation, problem-solving and time management skills

Excellent facilitation and communication skills (both verbal and written)

Superior ability to collaborate or work independently, initiate action, adapt to change and make difficult decisions.

Maintain effectiveness during rapidly changing priorities Actively seeks ways of improving current methods, systems, and processes

Proficient in the use of software including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must have strong modeling skills in Excel

Ability to travel extensively 50%

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience in the Manufacturing Industry 

Demonstrated capability working within a matrix environment running  large scale, complex projects, where broad scale/long term goals and objectives were created.
