Job Summary:

As part of HR Technology, the Workforce Technology team leads the planning, selection, implementation, and sustainment of technologies supporting seamless and unique experiences for the global talent of The Walt Disney Company.

The Workforce Technology team is looking for a Sr Analyst to support its product enhancements, projects and application support. In this role, you will be an expert in functional understanding of Workday HCM, data transformation through Workday integrations to downstream systems. You will also have expertise in SAP HR and Payroll as data from

Workday will be integrated to SAP for multiple countries. You will provide requirements for data mapping and transformation between Workday and other downstream systems. You will evaluate incoming requests to determine the scope of work, determine if changes can be supported based on lifecycle of the platform. You will work with the business to research and design suitable solutions to support business needs. You will collaborate with the Enterprise Business Solutions team on how best to solution the business requirements, and partner with the business to ensure the best support possible.

In Summary, this role will highly focus on supporting data transformation and movement between Workday HR, middleware, and SAP payroll solution that is heavily customized. Within the next few months we will be transitioning to a new system of record for HR (Workday) and this role will be involved in ensuring the data, integrations and system are as stable as possible as we prepare for this transition. Experience in this area is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project milestones, goals, tasks are met in a timely manner.
  • Lead testing, triage and resolution of defects.
  • Understand business processes, requirements and system configuration – Workday HCM (Must) and SAP (highly Preferred)
  • Adapt quickly to project landscape.
  • Analysis of HR system enhancement requests, working with the requestor to determine functional requirements, integration challenges, global template impact, site specific or enterprise impact.
    • Requirements for new or enhancements to existing integrations to and from SAP. Includes XML and point to point flat files (full files and delta files) plus reconciliation.
    • Lead test efforts to include test preparation and execution (e.g. building test sets, using automated test tools to track test completion status, reporting out status, managing those performing functional tests, performing integration tests, creating test problem reports, re-testing).
  • Analysis of requests to determine feasibility of implementation given platform lifecycle, providing viable alternatives should requests not prove feasible.
  • Evaluate current process and data flows for efficiency, accuracy and consistency.
  • Design and develop business processes which incorporate both manual and automated solutions.
  • Partner with internal IT resources to determine best technical solution for requested enhancements.
  • Provide post implementation and day-to-day support to internal and external clients.
  • Manage small to medium scale projects related to system enhancements/implementations, working with business partners and external vendors.
  • Develop and monitor test plan for system enhancements.
  • Participate on Enterprise-wide project teams to provide subject matter expertise.
  • Provide post implementation and day-to-day support to internal and external clients.
  • Use available reporting tools to generate reports and analyze data (e.g., Workday, SAP R3, BW, Cognos, Business Objects)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in Human Resources Information Systems with strong background in HR, payroll, benefits, integrations, security and reporting.
  • Must - Supported a minimum of 3 different Workday environments
  • Strong foundation in technology and process.
  • Experience with ERP system required. Workday HR, SAP HR – specifically HCM and Org (OM)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills as well as technical writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service skills and demonstrated ability to build partnerships and collaborate.
  • Proven experience in process improvement.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interface with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and change course of action quickly.
  • Detail oriented and excellent follow-through skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a dynamic and complex organization
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
