We are looking for a dynamic, organised self-starter to join our European Food Safety team as a Food Regulatory Program Manager for Europe and the United Kingdom. High-level summary of deliverables:
Improve and mantain processes to monitor food regulatory developments with a potential impact on Amazon in Europe and UK.
Use data and expertise to define and develop compliance improvement initiatives and programs and drive their implementation in collaboration with the relevant Amazon-internal stakeholders.
Leverage technology and improve scalable systems to manage compliance processes. This will often require the individual to have a detailed understanding of the legal requirement and its application to develop innovative solutions.
Contribute to the continuous development of key metrics in the field of compliance in Europe and UK, monitor and report on these to the relevant business stakeholders.
Partner with Public Policy and Legal teams to assess impact on regulatory changes.
Engage with the European and UK Food Authorities on compliance related inquiries and requests.
Represent Amazon’s interests within relevant organizations and trade associations in Europe and UK in close collaboration with the relevant Amazon-internal stakeholders.
· Program management and experience of managing program change across multiple locations or countries
· Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
· Demonstrated experience creating sustainable, scalable processes
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Fluent proficiency in English
· Exceptional organisational skills
· Ability to work independently and autonomously
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture
· Availability for regular travel within Europe and UK
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
· Knowledge in the framework of the EU and UK Food Law
· Experience in regulatory affairs in a food environment.
· Experience interacting and engaging with Authorities.
· Online/retail/food manufacturing experience
· Experience interacting with research organisations and industry/trade associations

· Additional EU languages
· Degree in food science or related field.
