Reporting to the VP Engineering you will lead engineering resources and guide projects for electrical/controls technologies, facilities and utilities systems. You will explore evolving technology that provides better compliance and improvement to electrical/controls, facilities and utilities systems to excellent standards. Respond to evolving risks and trends. Work with senior operations management, Continuous Improvement, Risk and Insurance, Legal and senior engineering leadership to ensure the best technology selection, installations, cost, performance and maintenance. Provide expert level technical support on an ad hoc basis. 15 years related experience.

You Will:

• Provide strategic direction for electrical/controls, facilities and utilities systems technologies
• Provide transformational leadership in the development and deployment of Connected Shop Floor systems.
• Collaborate and provide technical leadership and advice to all of Engineering, Plants, and other essential teams: Food Safety and Quality, Risk and Insurance, Environmental (including wastewater pre-treatment & discharge) Health, and Safety, Legal, Procurement and Continuous Improvement
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise for the selection and cost estimating of infrastructure, utilities and industrial electrical controls technologies to provide solutions for changing business opportunities.
• Work with Platforms for standardization of equipment, methods, and design through development and governance of standards, specifications, and guidelines
• Investigate new commercially available systems and technology to support reliability, compliance and a competitive advantage for Conagra Brands
• Incorporate and ensure Good Sanitary Design into all capital projects.
• Be the enterprise lead engineering technical resource in confidential and litigious activities. Examples are mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and trials
• Manage direction and enterprise-wide prioritization for Engineering-based compliance programs such as Process Safety Management, Natural Gas Safety Management, NFPA 70 compliance, and permitted wastewater operations
• Provide expert level technical support on an ad hoc basis.
• Manage direction and enterprise-wide standards for civil, structural, and architectural aspects of enterprise manufacturing facilities.
• Travel 30-40%.

You Have:

• BS degree in Engineering
• Working knowledge of federal and state, OSHA and EPA industrial regulations, enforcement techniques, operating structures, and rule making processes
• Working knowledge of GMP's, sanitary design, ammonia refrigeration, steam, industrial electrical controls, connected shop floor, electrical power and wastewater pre-treatment systems.
• 10+ years engineering experience including 5 years in the Food Industry or related field (i.e. Biotechnology, Pharma).
• 3+ years technical resource management experience.
• 5+ years managing direct reports.
• Experience managing by influence in a matrix organization.
