The Opportunity

• Develop tools and code to improve our application\'s integration with third party dependencies.
• Help development teams tackle sophisticated build issues on platforms like MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android.
• Design and maintain pipelines that homogenize our approach to build, release and debug our applications.
• You should be able to tackle performance and stability issues using a wide variety of tools.
• Contribute to test and automation strategies and provide feedback on the efficiency of the process.

What you need to succeed

• Solid understanding of the Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android Platforms
• Demonstrated ability working in either Development Operations or Software Engineering.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, GoLang)
• Proficient with C++ and its build concepts (shared libs, static libs, linkage)
• Proficient with CMake (and willing to learn more)
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment
• Experience with development and building of C/C++ applications under Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android platforms
• Excellent knowledge of GIT
• Strong knowledge of modern, continuous development techniques and pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)

Pluses:

• Experience with Jenkins, JIRA, Gerrit, CMake, Squish.
• Knowledge of test driven development and behaviour driven development.
• Comfortable working on all platforms (iOS/Android) and architecture variants (Intel/Arm/etc)
• Open to use and develop new build paradigms
• Willing raise and defend their perspective if they believe a task can be done in a better way
• Able to communicate in a trans-disciplinary way — with both technical and non-technical roles
• Proactive in finding and addressing both bottlenecks and code redundancy in the build systems across the ecosystem

What you\'ll Do

As lead of the Build and Release team, the candidate will work with a variety of engineering teams, spanning across multiple products. The individual is expected to engage positively with component and product engineering teams. A sense of ownership and responsibility in the components that the individual will support is expected, as well as a desire to grow the success of the products. 3D & Immersive is a highly collaborative organization, where individuals help to bring out the best in their co-workers through interaction and support.
