We are a fast-paced data science team in the Azure Global Engineering organization focused on industry verticals like Retail, Agriculture, Energy, Media & Entertainment, Gaming & FSI. We are looking for data science team players with strong intellectual curiosity, excellent problem solving and coding skills, deep learning driven forecasting and recommendation modeling experience, and foremost an ability to formulate data science technical problems by understanding customer and industry vertical needs. You will actively work with Microsoft and open source technologies to win confidence, delight, and make customers successful on Azure cloud.   

Our team is responsible for generating multi-modal data landscape from IoT, multi-spectral satellites and drones, weather, trading and commodity market, logistics and warehouses and synergistically use them through state of art DNN driven time series modelling, phenotyping, search and recommendation engines to scale existing customer solutions, learn-translate-multiply customer’s previous success and bring novel actionable insights to customers.   

Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate with experts in deep learning, machine learning, and distributed systems. You will partner with program management and Azure engineering teams and interact with customers to help drive the successful adoption of Azure in some of our largest accounts. 

You will work on all aspects of the design, CI/CD of machine learning and deep learning solutions, including problem definition, data acquisition, exploration, training, testing and evaluating deep learning models, and creating end-to-end pipelines and solutions in production.   

Qualifications

• PhD /MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Physical Sciences, or an equivalent technical field 
• 5+ years of real-world experience with machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, forecasting, anomaly detection and others 

• Expertise in application domains of Remote Sensing, Recommendation Systems, time series analysis 
• Skilled in Python and R 
• Experience with one or more of the Deep Learning frameworks, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet, CNTK 
• Experience with application development practices and CI/CD 
• Experience building production grade machine learning enabled solutions end to end. 

• Good communication and presentation skills
