This position is Remote – Location Specific. Candidates must reside in one of the following Cox Automotive office locations: Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Draper, UT, or Irvine, CA. This position falls under a hybrid schedule of 4-10 times per month in office.
The Sr. Data & Quality Analyst is responsible for the research, analysis, testing and documentation of various data projects within the Cox Automotive Data Solutions team that support various Cox Automotive business units. The position requires an elevated level of industry knowledge and market insights to perform gap analysis, data mining, data normalization and data mapping. The ability to handle large data files accurately and consistently is critical to this position. The analyst will be responsible for application UI functionality testing as well as collaborative UAT testing in partnership with the Reference Data Management team. This position requires the ability to work across various departments including data operations, product, and engineering. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as this position provides explanations/presentations to various internal partners. This position supports the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures utilized to ensure data is translated and provided as needed to downstream products and tools. The Sr. Data & Quality Analyst serves as a coach, mentor, and subject matter expert for Data & Quality Analyst 1 & 2 positions and will help guide the team in the adoption of new data, tools, and products.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform reference data analysis on long-term and ad-hoc projects including data augmentation and normalization.
Participate in internal and external decision-making processes utilizing expertise in reference data and insights.
Support tool creation and refinement through functionality documentation, testing, and UAT collaboration with the product, engineering, and reference data management teams.
Create and maintain policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and delivery teams QA to ensure accurate test plans. Author and execute testing requirements, scripts, defect reporting, and test cases.
Facilitate various reference data meetings and discussions to process and finalize data strategy for data accuracy and consistency through sound judgement including the appropriate audience.
Communicate with internal and external partners to inform, update, or consult on critical data decisions.
Create, update, and review defect tracking logs and work with project teams to ensure all defects are resolved across projects.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively execute multiple assignments, activities, or projects, as required, as well as the demonstrated ability to work on large complex projects spanning multiple applications, organizations, and business units.
Collect, analyze, interpret, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources and formats to discern information relevancy and consistency.
Structure relevant data into a consistent, concise, informative, thorough, and uniform format.
Identify, research, and resolve conflicting and inconsistent information.
Ability to train and/or mentor Data & Quality Analyst 1 & 2 positions.
Continued education and increased knowledge of the automotive industry and vehicle data, including new model releases, enhancements, and trends.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Business Management/Administration, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to author routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.
Technology experience, working knowledge of the internet, Windows applications, general database experience a plus. Advanced Excel skills are required.
