The Role
As Squad Leader for Performance Attribution within the FFIO Fund Administration domain, you blend a strong passion to understand the investment decision making process and have a problem-solving approach to drive implementation of Attribution calculations and reporting solutions. FFIO’s Performance Attribution application is a proprietary platform that supports key portfolio analytics and reporting capabilities across various Fidelity investment advisers in a highly scalable manner.
As the product owner you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities.
You will ensure alignment on the “what†and “when†work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.
- Establishing strong relationship with partners including investment staff, subject matter authorities, client relationship management and other technology chapters like architecture and engineering
- Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team
- Demonstrating your experience and background to implement iterative delivery despite ambiguous requirements and complex functionality
- Clearly communicating with service line teams, clients and other stakeholders on the plan, dependencies, risks, and progress while the squad performs iteratively on the product roadmap
- Measuring performance against established objectives and KPI’s that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people results
- Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development, and learning
- Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8-10+ years of work experience
- Experience with Investment Data and computations required
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic products and solutions
- Agile experience
- Jira and Jira Align experience preferred
- You are passionate about investment products and quantitative analysis
- You grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these
- You have a strong focus on execution and identify, communicate, and remove impediments to progress
- You are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams
- You continuously improve and encourage an agile way of working
- You establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach
- You are intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching
