The Team

Our team’s job is to make sure associates have the right tools to get their job done – that means leading with the daily tasks associates perform to communicate, collaborate, connect, and create, instead of focusing on specific vendors or tools. We will work alongside our enterprise technology partners to prioritize tools and enhancements that quickly deliver the most value to our associates. We will also develop a deep understanding for the people, processes, and technology that each business uses and what work is needed to seamlessly deliver new tools and platforms.

The Skills You Bring

  • You understand the journey our associates take, not just as they use digital tools and technology, but in the real world as they look to make valuable contributions to Fidelity and our customers
  • Strong technical understanding of how modern software products are built and integrate with other services and APIs, and successful history of leading software products throughout the product lifecycle
  • Passionate about creating high-quality products with a keen eye for detail and intuitive user experiences, and adept at pairing data with product intuition to always keep product decisions moving forward
  • Bias towards action with an ability to get results near term, as well as the ability to zoom out and connect day to day work to Digital Workplace’s mission
  • Confirmed experience in a customer-facing capacity with experience planning and running meetings with executive level customer personnel
  • Positive relationship building, interpersonal, and influencing skills to stay in sync throughout the organization

How you’ll own your squad:

Delivering business results and customer value

  • Defining and delivering against product area / squad specific objectives & key performance indicators (OKPIs)
  • Developing specific and measurable KPIs for your squad

Setting an overall vision to advise and inform the squad’s work

  • Work with product area leader to help develop the vision and strategy and ensure your squad stays aligned on business objectives and is progressing and achieving business results and customer value, measured through specific KPIs
  • Prioritizing the backlog of user stories that the squad will deliver upon, you will work across the enterprise to assess interdependencies with other squad leaders, align sequencing of deployment and readiness activities
  • Translating this understanding into a clear vision for your squad to inform and prioritize the work
  • Sharing information about the squad’s output and priorities with other squad leaders to ensure alignment across the organization

Supporting and enabling the squad to get its work done

  • Working with chapter leaders to align the talent needed to drive results and customer outcomes
  • Regularly engaging with the squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and answer questions
  • Working with group functions, shared services, and other stakeholders to make sure the squad has what it needs to do its work
  • Removing blockers or impediments that prevent the squad from progressing on its work

Developing and coaching squad members

  • Partner with chapter leaders to recruit and retain key talent, and build a strong culture for squad members
  • Working with chapter leaders provide feedback on squad members to help improve individual and squad performance
