As the Cloud Advocates Squad Leader, you blend application development and deep cloud expertise with a passion for delivering results. As the product owner you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to execute on specific product features that help application teams across Fidelity utilize our cloud ecosystem to its fullest capability. You will ensure alignment on the “what” and “when” work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.

• Engaging with Fidelity and cloud service provider product teams to simplify cloud usage and build patterns to accelerate feature delivery across the firm.

• Providing assistance through your squad to application teams through Fidelity’s internal development support channels

• Defining, refining, and communicating the squads' mission and roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support and alignment

• Creating reusable modules, automation, and patterns to reduce cognitive load for cloud development

• Construct and scale training methodologies to mature cloud knowledge across Fidelity

• Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team

• Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria

• Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments

• Measuring performance against established objectives and KPI’s that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people results

• Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development and learning

• Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.

• Possess at least one cloud certification (AWS or Azure preferred).

• 8-12+ years work experience, several of those in cloud technology

• Practical experience in building cloud hosted and native applications for the enterprise. Maintains a deep understanding of a wide variety of AWS/Azure services in order to provide recommendations and advice to Fidelity application teams.

• Experience building and maintain reusable artifacts to accelerate cloud development

• Experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic products and solutions

• Financial services experience, preferred

• Agile experience

• Jira and Jira Align experience preferred

• You grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these
