Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Collect and validate customer and vendor tax exemption certificates
- Timely and accurately file tax forms required by IRS and other government agencies
- Back-up the Sales and Use Tax Analyst, as necessary
- Prepare and provide financial information for internal/external audits, ensuring information is accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed.
- Book journal entries as required and ensure that transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with applicable standards.
- Perform account analysis, variance analysis and other projects as requested by Manager.
- Ensure Desk Top Procedures (DTP’s) are written and current for all job functions and that they comply with internal control policies.

- Strong communication skills to explain the company’s tax positions to other members of the organization and local tax representatives
Qualified candidates will have:
- Accounting Degree
- Two+ years of previous experience
- Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule and successfully manage multiple priorities
- Proven proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite Software Programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
- Experience working with SAP and Vertex a plus
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization as well as to external customers and vendors
