The Role:

To oversee and administer the company late delivery charging process, leading to the continuity of a firm incentive for suppliers to improve on delivery performance and, with the aid of the Senior Sourcing Analyst and Sourcing Operations Manager, generate significant yearly charge generation.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Slippage Administration

• Administering each week of intake adding codes to explain responsibility and potential to charge for delays, including liaising with buying over the correcting and amending of data

• Sending of weekly coding to Buying Teams for checking and chases for timely completion of their input

• Sending of notifications of potential charges to Buying Teams and Suppliers

• Handling some initial queries from Buying Teams and Suppliers relating to validity of charges and responsibility for delays.

• Manually changing data to update a different view of responsibility, reason for delays, or charges

• Can raise charges to Suppliers and amend later via completion of Debit/Credit notes

• Will guide buying teams on use of the ediTrack system which feeds into our data where possible

• Understanding of the context of late delivery and impact to business profitability

• Aware of the correct tone to use with buying and suppliers to communicate effectively

• Able to challenge other perspectives and get the right result for New Look

• Understands the need to act with pace, without sacrificing accuracy.

• Able to work with other parties on the same department and other departments collaboratively

Other Areas of Responsibility

• Supplier Performance Analysis – Able to deal with some basic in-coming analysis requests.

• Complete data input – Able to manage some other databases with use of reports and manual updates

• Checks on Data accuracy – May be needed to check and correct other aspects of reporting.

• Time Management – Must be able to manage own time constraints and keep to business deadlines, delivering a high level of service, often re-prioritising at short notice.

• Can cover key tasks for Senior Sourcing Analyst

Technical and Behavioural Skills

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Analytical, with the ability to follow initiative as well as receive direction

• Very good verbal reasoning

• PC Literate – Excel, Word, Outlook (able to quickly learn others)

• Can manage relationships internally with Buying and Sourcing and externally to suppliers

 

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience in Clothing Retail desirable or providing business analysis or ideally both

Minimum level of education or qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English
