Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
- Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs.
- Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
- Resolving technical problems as they arise.
- Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
- Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
- Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
- Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
- Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
What we’re looking for:
- Suitable experience software engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
- Previous project management experience is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of coding languages (C#, Javascript, ).
- Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
- Efficient communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience of working in an agile environment.
- Ability to coach and influence team members on best practice, technology and architecture.
- Use of and experience with full stack technologies, application frameworks and enterprise architectures.
- Microsoft Technology Stack, .net framework & C#.
- Requirements Analysis - Questioning, listening to and understanding a customer to extract their exact requirements.
- Solution Design – Taking requirements and designing a solution that meets those needs accounting for the wider software ecosystem; to include selection of technology, tools, patterns/practices, maintainability, reliability, security, performance etc.
- Problem Solving - Ability to apply logical thinking to derive the root cause of a technical issue quickly and accurately.
- Object Oriented Design – To include knowledge and application of common design patterns in an Enterprise environment.
- Database design and development.
- Knowledge and experience with DevOps practices, automation, creating and maintaining build and release pipelines.
- Experience of containerisation technology (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
