Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a solutions architect with proven experience in influencing far-reaching architectural and strategic technology decisions. In this role you will become a trusted advisor to our most strategic customers and provide architectural and strategic guidance on how to successfully build and run applications on AWS.


Responsibilities:

• Establish technical credibility in sales cycles
• Run technical workshops and advise customers on architectural and strategic IT decisions
• Educate customers on best practices to ensure their solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
• Work with other AWS teams to drive adoption of Cloud services in Switzerland
• 
  
• Capture and share knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community
• Develop technical content (such as blog-posts, white papers and reference architectures) to convey best practices using AWS
• Participate in evangelising AWS at events, user groups, and hackathons
• Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS
• Domestic travel up to 30%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Multiple years of experience in the design and implementation of complex IT Systems
• Experience in system architecture and software delivery processes
• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following domains: networking & infrastructure, operations, application design & development, automation & deployment, virtualisation or container technologies, web Technologies
• Software development skills
• fluent in both German and English (written & verbal communication)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services or any other cloud service platform
• 
  
• Experience in a customer-facing, account management-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
• A Masters Degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or equivalent technical degree
