Solutions Architect III-223233

Cox Communications is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Solutions Architect to work within a team of full-time employees as well as contractors to drive the development and delivery of decisioning software development built on Pega platform technology. The right candidate will possess:

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Defines solutions architectures in alignment with the Cox reference architecture, in partnership with Cox Application Development, Network and Engineering, Operations, and PMO groups.

Drives the technical evolution of the Cox application and platform portfolio towards the Cox reference architecture

Provides feedback and recommendation to strategic architecture team to update, enhance or expedite roadmaps and future-state capabilities based on information discovered during project development.

Assists as requested with design issues that might drive architectural changes.

Ensures compliance to architecture standards and processes

Initiates and manages engagements with external vendors and internal organizations within Cox Communications

Demonstrate skills in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information or inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.

May oversee the completion of projects or assignments, including planning, assigning, and reviewing

Possesses knowledge in primary discipline or technical/ scientific area

Knowledge of technologies, processes, and practices

Primary contribution is in applying knowledge (product, industry, professional, technical), rather than managing people

May participate in industry events and be a representative on an industry-wide committee

Applies innovative solutions to problems

Occasionally contributes to the development of long-term strategy for specific functional areas

 

Qualifications: Minimum:

BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Information Technology, Engineering).

3 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. technical solutions design, IT development, Engineering, etc.)

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

Experience in telecommunications industry desired.

Pega certifications (decisioning focused).

Prior consulting experience.

SQL and SoapUI knowledge preferred but not required.

Programming language knowledge (Python, C++, Java, etc.) preferred but not required.
