Role purpose: 

•    Vodafone is transforming into a Next Generation Telco, an essential stepping-stone to our ultimate ambition to become a Technology Communications Company offering a range of products and services beyond connectivity.
•    â€One Platform” is  Vodafone’s  transformation programme to create a truly world class Digital Sales & Service experience on the Web and in Retail stores  It will deliver fully joined up customer journeys as part of Vodafones Digital IT strategy, transforming the digital experience across Vodafone markets and 7000 stores globally. 

•    The Architect will be responsible for the SAFE System level architecture for One Platform Web and Retail 10 programmes,  working with Vodafone Commercial and Technology stakeholders. Desigining Sales, Service and Operations capabilities delivered to support the Customer in our channels touchpoints.
•    The Architect will need to be hands on, delivering design documentation and leading tech leads to drive the end-end design. 
•    They will ensure designed solutions are  aligned with the Vodafone Digital IT Strategy and Commercial  Channels strategies.
•    Work within a Scaled Agile release train as the System Architect,  supporting the Agile Release Train (programme) through to squad level.   
•    Support the communication of  the architected solutions to stakeholders in Local Market teams and support them in the adoption of the platforms/capabilities.
•    Work with Enterprise Architects,  the Technical Product Manager and Business Owners  to influence Strategy and ensure compliance of solutions.
•    Work closely with internal development squads and external suppliers to ensure the solutions meets customer requirements and are aligned to the IT strategy.  
•    Consider cost and commercial implications / consequences of architecture and technical decisions.  
•    Build working relationships and open lines of communication with Architects in Local Markets and other Channels teams and promote the sharing of knowledge and experience between teams.
•    Technologies used:    React, React Native, JS, Open API, Apigee, Spring Boot, AWS,  Kubernetes,  Mongo DB, Redis,  Drools.

•    Ensure delivered Designs/Architecture for solutions are aligned to Digital IT Strategy.
•    Contribution to the evolution of the IT Digital and Channel Strategies 
•    Support Local Market adoption of the Digital Architecture Roadmap.
•    Support for the Channels Community and promotion of knowledge and experience sharing

Preferred core competencies, knowledge and experience 
•    Experience in Digital IT Solution delivery and architecture 
•    Experience in Web & App Technologies, Portal, E-commerce and Content Management platforms
•    Cloud, Mobile and Open Source Technology

•    Delivery of timely documented architecture solutions to support Agile delivery and PI Planning
•    Drive the Local Market adoption of the solutions by communicating and highlighting the benefits for local stakeholders measured by an increased Local Market compliance rate
•    Contribute as a positive, inclusive and empowering team member.
