Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

We work in small, agile DevOps teams with colleagues around the world from our offices at the Bluefin Building in Southwark, our global headquarters in Canary Wharf, and multiple other locations around the UK including Sheffield, Leeds, Barnsley and Birmingham.

Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2021 and beyond, we are currently seeking an experienced Lead Architect - Risk Technology to join HSBC Technology.

Role Purpose

HSBC Human Resources IT is recruiting for a Solutions Architect.

This role will be within the CareerSuite Product Area, which encompasses all Global HR Technology solutions for Learning, Talent & Succession, Performance Management, Reward, Resourcing & Onboarding and Benefits(Employee Share Plans). This role encompasses all systems / applications / integrations / etc architecture for this product area.

The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing the most appropriate solution design, technologies and products to meet the needs of the business. They will have responsibility for technology decisions and governance of the delivery thereof.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Understanding and assessing the needs of the business and recommending the most appropriate solution design through the Clear Choice process and following architectures Design Driven Decision process.
  • Following Solution Control Framework for all IT change
  • Documenting end-to-end solutions and architecture models through Solution Architecture, Architecture Definition Documents and other artefacts and following the SCF process
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant HSBC Architecture standards, Technology Strategies / Policies / Principles.
  • Helping ITSO and IT PM through all relevant IT and Business governance processes and taking the lead on related deliverables where required
  • Bring expertise in the fields of HR Learning and Recruitment solutions and in developing associated architecture patterns
  • Bring understanding and guidance on the use and application of vendor AI/ML models in solutions and related business processes. Advise HR Business on relevant risk mitigations for monitoring effectiveness of these Ai/ML models, developing relevant risk mitigations solutions, processes, skills and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in delivering system solutions, preferably including enterprise systems, as a Solutions Architect or similar architectural discipline
  • Architecting solutions that have encompassed AI/ML models and fully aware of the ML Model Development Life-Cycle, associated Risk Management and Best Practices for the support and maintenance of AI/ML based applications.
  • Experience with a wide range of solutions addressing application architecture and design, systems integration, workflow, data & information management and reporting
  • A strong track record of delivery and supporting successful implementations
  • Capability to distinguish between appropriate segregation of solution design in terms of People, Process, Technology with an emphasis on end-user experience and the Banks Digitalisation agenda
  • Desirable:

  • TOGAF qualified or equivalent (structured methodology for the development of architecture)
  • Experience of working within the financial services sector
  • Experience of working within a Human Resources function
  • Experience of working with the SAP SuccessFactors suite of HR applications
  • Experience of working with the Oracle Taleo Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience of integrating core HR platforms with satellite, point solutions to answer specific strategic needs.

The role will primarily be based in London but some travel maybe required.
