Role purpose:

• To deliver Network as a Platform (NaaP) Low Level API design to fulfil demand requirements. 
• To define standard APIs that have a high degree of re-usability, in close collaboration with other NaaP teams 
• To create secure APIs that are fully aligned with the Vodafone Security Policies
• Responsible to design platform capabilities such as monitoring, logging, alerting, backup strategies
• Provide technical support to NaaP Product Owners for backlog definition, assessments and testing

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• To deliver Vodafone Technology Strategy leading the deployment of Network as a Platform (NaaP) 
• Maintains solid relations with the NaaP Development team to ensure the solutions being delivered are aligned with Vodafone strategy, best practice and business objectives, and the activity is signed off accordingly.
• Scout new technologies and vendors to enable innovation and identify technical enablers;
• Supports assisting with the creation of Requests For Proposal (RFPs) on technical requirements, evaluation of answers and supplier short-listing during RFP process;
• Contribute to definition of strategy and to design of E2E NaaP solutions
• Participate in Agile projects building the required solutions
• Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• 5+ years of experience designing and building large scale and impactful IT/NW projects - either on premises or in the cloud
• Cloud Based Services such as AWS, Azure, and Google
• Virtualization technologies & Containers solutions (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
• Modern security practices
• Modern API platform design
• Experience of working with an agile methodology
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance and resolve conflicts of interest
• Excellent analytical skills (listening, questioning, challenging etc.)
• Knowledge mobile networks
• Thorough understanding of the full Networking stack

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with modern cloud architectures and technologies
• Technical expertise in Network technologies
• Technical expertise in IT
• Agile Project management
