This position offers to work with a dedicated team with a tremendous amount of ability to influence and innovate on the streaming platform and analytics solution that includes state of the art private and public cloud storage, Apache Flink, Spark, Jupyter, GStreamer, computer vision (TensorFlow, OpenCV, Nvidia Deepstream, etc.), open-source Pravega, and Kubernetes to name a few.

We are looking to hire a software senior principal engineer with solid experience in building microservices and analytics solutions on Kubernetes. The engineer will design and implement new microservices for the Streaming Data Platform (SDP). The engineer should also understand one or more of the open-source software modules in the areas of authorization, authentication, metrics, networking, load balancing, certificates, etc. You consider yourself a technologist, passionate about data infrastructure, and you know you can make a big impact on a small team! The solutions you build will deal with all aspects of Streaming data platform product in production, such as reliability, availability, serviceability, performance, monitoring, etc.

Essential requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Experience in Java and/or Golang, Kubernetes
• Excellent coding and algorithm skills
• Experience working with large private and public clouds
• Understanding of distributed systems design and implementation
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. A graduate school degree, MSc or PhD, is definitely a plus

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with Python
• Experience with messaging technologies concepts, e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka, Pulsar, JMS, AMQP
• Experience with Apache Zookeeper and Bookkeeper, Kafka, Spark/Flink, kubernetes, Lucene, Solr/ElasticSearch, Security (OAuth2, OpenID, etc)
