Job Description

The CVS (Commissioning, Validation, Start-up) Software Controls Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of the automated plant processes, systems, and lines.  They must be multi-crafted with a heavy emphasis on software and control systems.  Their work includes on-line troubleshooting and repair, design input, continuous improvement capital projects, commissioning and start-up and training of other technicians, contractors, and plant operators.

What are we looking for?

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related, and at least 1 year related experience  

  • Experience In python, SQL, database design, and web design.   

    Strong analytical and math skills; resolves complex questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels

    Preferred:  3-5 years experience in manufacturing Controls and MES

    Experience in PLC programming

    Strong understanding of food processes - mixing, filling, FDA regulated sterilization, packaging; 

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Execute the commissioning, validation, and start-up of the process system software infrastructure of the site

  • Develop new technologies to support site systems as needed

  • Implement special projects related to software system development and installation

  • Troubleshoot and fix malfunctioning software systems when other resources are unable to correct the problems, including current site support when needed

  • Have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, install, and upgrade the Process Servers(s) and PC software

  • Have software knowledge and troubleshooting skills for MES system applications (ex. Ignition, Rockwell, RCLMS, etc),

  • Have working knowledge of multiple software systems with includes servers, SQL databases, PLCs, Windows, and MES applications

  • Have software knowledge and troubleshooting skills to maintain several Processing file servers through the site

  • A demonstrated excellence in hardware and software troubleshooting skills.  This excellence would be in the systems in use throughout the manufacturing site
