The CVS (Commissioning, Validation, Start-up) Software Controls Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of the automated plant processes, systems, and lines. They must be multi-crafted with a heavy emphasis on software and control systems. Their work includes on-line troubleshooting and repair, design input, continuous improvement capital projects, commissioning and start-up and training of other technicians, contractors, and plant operators.
BS degree in Computer Science or related, and at least 1 year related experience
Experience In python, SQL, database design, and web design.
Strong analytical and math skills; resolves complex questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
Preferred: 3-5 years experience in manufacturing Controls and MES
Experience in PLC programming
Strong understanding of food processes - mixing, filling, FDA regulated sterilization, packaging;
Execute the commissioning, validation, and start-up of the process system software infrastructure of the site
Develop new technologies to support site systems as needed
Implement special projects related to software system development and installation
Troubleshoot and fix malfunctioning software systems when other resources are unable to correct the problems, including current site support when needed
Have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, install, and upgrade the Process Servers(s) and PC software
Have software knowledge and troubleshooting skills for MES system applications (ex. Ignition, Rockwell, RCLMS, etc),
Have working knowledge of multiple software systems with includes servers, SQL databases, PLCs, Windows, and MES applications
Have software knowledge and troubleshooting skills to maintain several Processing file servers through the site
A demonstrated excellence in hardware and software troubleshooting skills. This excellence would be in the systems in use throughout the manufacturing site
