The Pharmacy Technology Senior Manager leads the team responsible for the Safire software that run our mail order fulfillment pharmacies for Home Delivery, Accredo and Express Scripts Specialty Distribution Services.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Safire application platform for the Filling product
Determine when and how to implements new and emerging technologies
Provide in-depth technical consultation to business partners and IT management/development to ensure development of efficient application systems utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies
Engage in production support research and resolution recommendations, as required
Oversee software engineering product team of 8 – 15 people
Manages the performance and develops the feedback of the members of their team, including following through on annual performance review.
Participates in evaluation and prioritization of customer/user requests.
Participates in process improvement and cross-departmental IT initiatives.
Report key performance metrics to management
Partner closely with the Technical Product Owns and Automation Team and apply Safire Subject Matter Expertise across the product.
Complete project responsibilities including design, coding, testing and documentation
Document change management for all projects
Employees must be fully vaccinated when they come onsite.
Basic Qualifications:
Must perform this role in the St. Louis area
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree Preferred
8-10 years’ experience in software engineering
3-5 years leading software engineering teams
Experience working in Microsoft C#.NET, C++ and Angular
Experience working with Oracle and Microsoft SQL
Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
Familiarity with the Manufacturing Application Development preferred
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and travel requirements
Well versed in root cause analysis techniques thru analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience working in the agile framework
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
