Microsoft Commercial Marketplace is responsible for Azure Portal Marketplace store (within https://portal.azure.com ) , the Azure Marketplace store (https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com), our Cloud store for developers and IT professionals, as well as Microsoft AppSource (https://appsource.microsoft.com), our Cloud store for business applications. Marketplace is the business engine that enables customers to seamlessly discover, try and buy every cloud solution that matters. Working with a network of hundreds of thousands of partners around the world, offering thousands of listings such as cloud building blocks, software products and services, our Cloud Marketplace is driving Microsoft’s business across Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365. 

Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Group Engineering Manager, you will have the incredible opportunity to work on business-critical initiatives that directly contribute to the growth in adoption of Microsoft cloud by providing customers solutions that they need and help ISVs grow their business.

We're looking for a leader with passion for technology who will be able to ramp up himself and the organization in new areas, have excellent design and architecture skills and have proven ability grow top notch developers, development leads and engineering managers, while driving team culture and collaborating with other teams. 

You will manage a group of 70 + software engineers and managers with different experiences. Building E2E cloud products including micro services, REST APIs, databases and UX.

Commercial Marketplace is a global “virtual-first” team with a deep focus on diversity and inclusion and you will be expected to collaborate well across various teams in Microsoft like Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 to name a few.

You will be building deep knowledge around Commerce Processes and helping customers finding and purchasing the right cloud products for them and their organizations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams of over 50 people through all phases of the development cycle.
• At least 5 years of proven hands-on experience (design, coding) building large-scale software and services. 
• Backend experience (e.g. Java, C#).
• Strong frontend experience: React Redux, TypeScript, Node.JS is an advantage.
• Cloud and Azure experience is a plus. 
• Passion for new technologies and data. 
• Attention to details and passion for quality. 
• Team player with excellent collaboration, communication and leadership skills.
