We are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our experienced software team. You will report directly to the Director, Development Platforms and assist with all functions of software coding and design. To ensure success as a software engineer, you should have a good working knowledge of basic programming languages, the ability to learn new technology quickly, and the ability to work in a team environment. Ultimately, a top-class Software Engineer provides valuable support to the design team while continually improving their coding and design skills.

Responsibilities

In this position you are responsible for designing, coding, enhancing and testing of software applications to meet business process requirements.

• Contribute to ongoing feature development of web applications based on REST architecture, involving UI, Services and databases
• Work with the development team leads (Lead Software Engineers) on the technical and architectural direction of projects.
• Research, analyze, design, and deliver solutions that are appropriate for business and application development strategies.
• Work with cross functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts to meet business requirements.
• Design and develop new projects and enhancements based on evolving business needs.
• Interact with internal users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Object-Oriented design and development
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Exposure to developing application in Azure Cloud
• Proficient in C# or Java and related technologies/frameworks
• Proficient with React (Angular, React, React Native, NPM, Bower, etc.)
• Experience with modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
• Knowledge of build/dependency management tools such as MSBuild, Maven, SCM (GIT)
• Experience in application containerization, familiar with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Able to work well within the constructs of an agile development process, including SCRUM, Unit Testing, Continuous Build and Integration, etc.
• Familiar with Application Frameworks & Engines
• Knowledge of databases: Azure SQL, Oracle, NOSQL (Mongo, Azure Cosmos)
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience.
