Responsibilities

 As part of a collaborative agile team, driving the development and delivery of cutting edge voice network function.   

• This includes hands on design, development and testing, but also helping to drive the entire engineering process from defining requirements and agreeing specifications through to feature delivery. 
• Taking an active part in improving the engineering process, and actively sharing knowledge with others.  
• Mentoring and coaching less experienced members of the team.

Qualifications

Qualifications  
 

• Excellent coding skills across at least one of C, C++, Rust or Java. 
• Experience using common software development processes; e.g. source control, build pipelines, code review, regression testing frameworks, bug tracking/fixing, …  
• Confident in their communication skills: capable of explaining complex concepts or technologies to other engineers.  
• Experience of working in an Agile development environment.  

• Passionate about troubleshooting and solving complex problems.   
• Energy, enthusiasm, versatility and creativity.  
• Familiarity with network automation and virtualization / containers (eg Kubernetes) is beneficial – although extensive training will be given.  
• Understanding of IP Networking, switching and routing is desirable.  

We are looking for flexible candidates with a “can-do” attitude who are passionate about voice software solutions.    We are also looking for people who can be based in our Cambridge office at least 50% of the time.
