A Software Engineer develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.  Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.  Designs software or customizes software in order to optimize operational efficiency.

• Develops programs or scripts according to specification and established coding standards and analyzes, reviews and tests for accuracy and optimal performance.

• Performs integrated testing of systems for accuracy, reliability and optimal performance.

• Constructs various software components and validates completeness and quality.

• Analyzes and resolves program/script or system failures.

• Performs software system maintenance and support.

• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.

• Less than one to three years previous software development experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• In lieu of the specified education and experience requirements, a proven capability to perform the essential functions of the job, as demonstrated by an equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant work experience may be considered.

• Progress/Open Edge experience a "good to have" but we are willing to train!
