Fidelity Workplace Investing Omni Channel Employee Experience Tribe is looking for a Software Engineer that will work within a team based agile model to deliver features and functionality for a large group of associates to help and support our customers. The team is passionate about delivering functionality that Empowers WI associates to deliver better experiences for our customers.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
  • Extensive experience in Angular 9 +, Node JS and Express JS, API, Jasmine, JDK 1.8 Eclipse, Control M, JDBI and Oracle & SQL server Database Experience, jqwidgets for angular
  • 3-5 years of software development experience on business critical, enterprise wide applications
  • Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions
  • Software engineering experience with at least 3 years in Java application
  • Proven experience developing highly scalable web applications (Micro Services/APIs/ /REST etc.) and software quality (Test tools like Selenium etc.).
  • Experience with Splunk, Datadog and Azure Dev Ops preferred
  • Experience with Work Force Management (WFM)
  • Experience with Genesys Contact Center Platforms
  • Detail oriented coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to Docker and Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of API gateways (Apigee preferred)
  • Hands-on experience utilizing Agile delivery methodology and participating in story writing, backlog reminement, and all Squad Scrum ceremonies
  • Seeing sophisticated challenges from multiple perspectives, and leaning in to tackle independently or with peers
  • Dedication to high quality, balanced with rapid pace of delivery
  • Drive technical discussions, arbitrate, and recommend efficient path forward
  • Your focus will be supporting an existing suite of Applications across multiple technology stacks including Angular, JAVA and NodeJS technology stacks.
  • Proven experience and knowledge to influence better software design, promote accurate software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability, and security
  • You will also be directly involved in building new and improving capabilities on modern web-based tech stacks that will help Fidelity continue to deliver industry the best experiences.
  • Appreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage
