The Team & Role

The Fidelity Asset Management Solutions (FAMS) Distribution Product Area is focused on building next generation sales and servicing solutions needed to support the growth of our institutional business.  We operate using agile mentality, culture, and principles to deliver innovative solutions that enable FAMS client facing associates to work efficiently and reliably in supporting the needs of our clients.

In this role, you will join a cloud-first, innovative, fast-paced Agile Client Reporting squad within FAMS Distribution. You will have the opportunity to deliver state-of-art cloud-based solutions where you’ll fall in love with the problem at hand, work through systems analysis, collaborate across the team, develop, and deliver capabilities that delight our customers. FAMS Distribution Client Reporting squad is responsible for the automation and production of all Client and Prospect reports across Fidelity’s institutional businesses. The squad is also responsible to work with data providers across Fidelity and build Restful web services to support the production of reports.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

2+ years of experience implementing web and middle-tier services, preferably in the cloud

Financial services proven experience preferred

You have experience contributing to delivery of application solutions operating as part of a larger ecosystem

You have excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

You standout interpersonal and partnering skills

You have strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

You have worked in an Agile environment

Technical Knowledge Required

Proven understanding of object oriented and functional programming and design in Java 8

Spring 4+ and Spring security

Proven experience with multi-threading using Executors and asynchronous task using Completable Futures

Maven knowledge required for dependency management

Junit for unit testing

Experience with BDD using Cucumber/Jbehave

Web UI Development Experience with Angular 6 or newer

Experience building re-useable Angular Components, Services and HttpClient to retrieve data from a middle tier service.

Experience working with Bootstrap components with Angular

Experience with Observable and RxJs usage in Angular

Nice To Have

Experience with AWS services like Dynamo DB, IAM, EKS

Experience composing Docker images and working with containers

SQL programming experience: building queries and stored procedures/functions

Prior background and experience with API design patterns
