Microsoft Teams is core to Microsoft's vision for intelligent communications and productivity pane into modern workplace. We are fast becoming THE hub for teamwork in Office 365 with hundreds of thousands of organizations and more than 115 million users across the globe using Teams. 

Our team owns the Engineering Systems and Client Release pipelines for Microsoft Teams that spans across multiple platforms/devices (Web, Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS & Android). Our infrastructure allows hundreds of developers deliver new features to millions of users in order of minutes in an automated fashion. Our team creates and supports cross-cutting infrastructural libraries & utilities that enable our developers ship highest quality code to our customers continuously with high confidence. We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our team and help us take this world class engineering infrastructure to the next level through innovations and data-driven intelligence.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain engineering infrastructure, tools and services that powers CI/CD for Microsoft Teams across different clients/platforms. Champion best practices, tools and processes for a data-driven, quality-focused release of Microsoft Teams as frequently as possible to our customers 
  • Build tools/bots to improve developer productivity, contribute ideas to continuously improve our systems and drive actionable feedback on code and product quality 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop overall product vision as well as strategies on how to realize the vision by identifying technical challenges & proposing solutions  

About you: 

  • You’re familiar with CI/CD practices and have an opinion on how to apply them at scale. 
  • You have a strong sense of craftsmanship in the solutions you create and an idea about how software should and should not be built & released 
  • You’re not afraid to push code to production 
  • You believe that a task worth doing is a task worth automating 
  • You seek out opportunities to learn new skills and technologies 
  • You think ahead and build for the future and aren’t afraid of ambiguous challenges 
  • You have a history of driving successful cross-organizational initiate

Qualifications:

  • A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field. Hands-on experience coding in an object-oriented programming language, with some knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with Azure PaaS & Services is a plus 
  • Excellent problem-solving & debugging skills 
  • Good track record of working with partner teams and a mindset to get things done the right way 
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for reaching across teams and organizations to make progress collaborative
