Job Description:

The Role

As a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) you will be applying your software development and test automation skills to craft, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve customer-facing software solutions.

Responsibilities

Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote accurate software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security.

Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests.

Support the team in crafting reliable, portable, accurate and credible tests, and in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health.

Enable the team in crafting and developing automation harnesses using Java w/ Cucumber and SOA Test.

Participate in application code and test code reviews with rest of the Scrum team.

Participate in development using JavaScript/Angular and Web services/HTTP.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field.

4+ years demonstrated ability with designing and building front-end and web service applications while incorporating test automation frameworks.

Working experience with: Java, Cucumber, Javascript, HTTP, RESTful web services, Jenkins, and AWS.

Experience building applications and using test automation frameworks.

Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of technologies and test automation frameworks (Java, Cucumber, Javascript/Angular, HTTP, RESTful web services).

Experience working with Java and its ecosystem.

Passionate about Test Driven Development, developing robust software, writing testable and maintainable code.

Experience in delivering software in the Agile environment.

Preferred Experience

AngularJS (2 or above), NodeJS, Docker, JEST

Working experience with test automation frameworks (Cucumber, SOATest, Selenium).

Hands-on experience with crafting and using Test Doubles and Virtual Assets.

Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software creation process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Knowledge of brokerage.
