The Role
The Shareholder Reporting Team within Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) technology business unit supports applications that our business partners use to generate prospectuses, financial statements, and regulatory filings. We are looking for a Software Engineer who will craft, develop, and improve cloud ready software applications using Java, Spring and Oracle using agile methodology!
The Expertise You have and The Skills You Bring
2+ years full stack technology experience in developing software solutions especially with Java and Spring in highly scalable environments
Worked in an Agile software delivery environment
Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
Experience with test automation, integration, and functional tests
Exposure to Cloud AWS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
2+ years of hands-on experience in server-side development with Java, Spring, Rest APIs, Camel, J2EE, Persistence frameworks (Hibernate/iBatis) and experience with relational database (Oracle)
Understanding of Architecture and design concepts
Experience in implementing UI using Angular a plus
Experience in JMS/ActiveMQ, Authentication and Authorization frameworks, Digital Certificates and Secure Transmissions
Knowledge/experience with DevOps, CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, and Concourse
Experience with AWS services
Ability to balance priorities and work on multiple efforts simultaneously
Skilled in delivering high quality code with high test coverage, following Fidelity processes, standards, and architecture guidelines
Interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate with teams across different locations
The Team
FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
You will be part of the team that builds and maintains shareholder reporting platform.
