The Role
Fidelity Investments Workplace Solutions (WS) organization is looking for a Data & ETL Support Engineer / Analyst to help support our Data and Reporting platform for equity compensation products on the Global markets. This person will play a key role in allowing Stock Plan Services to accelerate the pace at which our participants can take advantage of new Global features by being part of a team responsible for completing the enablement of legacy data on our new Global capabilities. This includes providing best-of-class service to our clients, pre, during and post enablement.
The Expertise and Skills You Have
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
3-5 years of Informatica workflow development, maintenance, and support experience
3-5 years of proven experience in one or more modern Object-Oriented Programming Languages (Python, Java, Scala) including the ability to code in more than one programming language.
3-5 years of hands-on OBIEE and PL/SQL experience.
Heavy focus on automation of manually intensive processes to improve efficiency
Proven understanding of Relational Databases (Oracle Exadata 12c)
Sophisticated experience with PL/SQL and complex queries
Experience with batch job scheduling and dependency management using BMC Control-M for distributed systems.
Advanced experience with ETL data integration and data movement design patterns using Informatica
Your sophisticated skills in data intensive application development, data integration, and data pipeline design patterns on a distributed platform.
Understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts like CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins
Experience with cloud native data warehousing and data lake solutions with Redshift, Snowflake, etc
Your experience in completing projects in an Agile environment.
Your ability to collaborate with other technical and business experts in the team
Proven ability to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns
Your passion to follow modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies
Keeping the focus of the work in terms of Customer obsession.
Partner with technical leads to make clear, simple, and technically sound design decisions.
Accept continuous improvement regarding application quality and stability.
Strong sense of ownership for the quality of solution delivery and execution.
Being candid and honest in all discussions to ensure the best outcomes.
Ability to focus on collaboration and partnership while prioritizing work in fast paced environment.
The Team
You will be part of the technology team in Stock Plan Services business unit that supports multiple squads coordinating equity compensation programs on behalf of public and private companies offering various compensations programs such as: Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Restricted Stock Awards/Units, Stock Option Plans, Stock Appreciation Rights and Performance based Awards. Currently SPS services approx. 2M participants employed by over 300 clients and spread out in 150 countries. The business is looking to further expand in the international equity compensation markets. As part of that we are modernizing our legacy recordkeeping, reporting and business intelligence platform to provide data and reports in real-time running on a cloud-ready stack. We are looking for a motivated engineer to help us accelerate and scale our data enablement process to allow more participants to realize the benefits of these Global capabilities.
